Inventory Database

The technikum29 inventory database is an attemp of over a year of work to get an idea of what and where the belongings of the technikum29 computer museum are spread. There are several outposts, and most of the items are not clearly declared. It will be therefore a community effort to clearly identify the items and especially seperate valuable spare parts from garbage.

Essential to the inventarization efforts are the patch labels which were printed and arranged on each items. These marks were made with LaTeX, the sources are online in the t29-inventory-software repository. A local copy of this repository is hosted in the folder /inv/cards.

For inventarization purposes, several computer aided guides have been invented. At first, all marks have QR codes which should allow to auto-process photographies. Nevertheless, we have clapperboard software and utilities to deal with the amounts of data.

The inventarisation media folder holds several Gigabytes of photographies. Their assignment and relationships to inventories are stored in a JSON document database which itself is available at /inv/db.

Last but not least, there are several tools (frontends) available for rendering the inventory database:

There are also previous attemps of an inventarisation website, which show however outdated data.
